Green is the marketing buzzword of our day. Businesses from shoe manufacturers to pesticide companies are finding avenues through which to promote their “greenness.”
Even the coal industry—unquestionably the “brownest” industry in the world—has
invested millions in its “clean coal” campaign asserting that the process of generating coal is 70 percent cleaner—read greener—than it was just 30 years ago.
